Raw Vegan Chai Latte

raw chai latte :: i do tons of these in various configurations. have fun playing with combinations!

raw honey, (you could use agave or dates or stevia)

coconut oil ( a little, like .5 tsp. ),

nettle + mate tea warm, (could be any fav herb, ie, ginseng, cat’s claw, etc)

and mac nut mylk (blend and strain mac nuts with good quality water or don’t strain if u r not texture-challenged. you can also use different nuts and seeds.)

blend all these ingredients together.

super nourishing. sometimes i put burdock root juice, bee pollen etc in it.

you can sprinkle this with cacao butter, cacao powder (or make it with cacao powder), hemp seeds, a dash of sea salt.

verrrrry yum and nourishing!

    What is the half of a teaspoon of coconut oil for? Flavour? Does it do something to the liquid, or is it just for “supplement”? I’m so curious 😛

    • Yes, it definitely adds to the flavor, and for cold days with this warm drink, it adds to the ‘lusciousness’ of the beverage. Comfort factor! As well of course as the supplemental benefits. And you could also use ‘coconut butter’ which is a little richer and creamier too. Have fun and play with this! The sky’s not even the limit.
